Against each other they had an even score during their whole career. And against other opponents Capablanca scored clearly better. Of course it is posible that Alekhine's opponents were stronger, but since their were contemporaries (Capablanca was only four years older than Alekhine), I doubt the difference in opponents' streght is big.
