If I recall it well, the hardware used was a Siemens Primergy with 8 PIII Xeon processors at 900 MHz. It was running roughly at 2800 kn/sec. On my dual AMD 2800+ Deep Junior runs 2800-3600 kn/sec. On the dual the search process will be more efficient as well.
