John, >No, Kittinger's engine was in Chessmaster 2000 and 2100 (and I think it was >even in CM3000). 2100 was a Spacklen engine - not so sure about 3000 >However, I think I can safely say that the rating of Kittinger's new engine is >about 100-150 points lower than that of The King, when both engines are at >their top levels, and ONLY at blitz time controls. I have done no testing at >a time control faster than Fischer 5/3. Great news!! Kittinger's engines are always interesting! Just as a suggestion - a major USP compared to ChessMaster for the chess geeks here at CC would be to also include a UCI / Winboard or even MCS version of the engine as an addition to the package. Remember that Kittinger already has the MCS interface code as he produced a version of WChess for the Genius interface - just a thought! Regards, Steve
