Hiarcs 6 for DOS can load PGN files, but not positions from PGN files. Try this
and you will find a "file format error":

[Event "Nf5xg7"]
[Site "?"]
[Date "1994.??.??"]
[Round "?"]
[White "BT01"]
[Black "?"]
[Result "1-0"]
[SetUp "1"]

I agree with Detlef. I have never seen a bug free program, and the more complex
the program is, the more bugs you find.
