I DO know, however, that we are planning full translations to these languages: Dutch, French, Italian, German and Spanish. This, of course, was simply not possible with the huge amount of content in Chessmaster. I will, once again, attempt to get our salespeople (in this case Vivendi Universal) to give the good folks at ICD a reasonable deal on copies. Vivendi's people seem to be more interested in the chess-specific community than Ubi Soft's people did, IMO. We are trying to "get the word out" to chess coaches and clubs, and HOPEFULLY we will be able to give them decent deals on the purchase of multiple copies. A somewhat cheaper price ($30 US) should help as well. >>If you have anything specific you are interested in, please don't hesitate to >>ask. >> >>jm > >i remember that Wchess had some weaknesses in endgame. >therefore i would like to know how the endgame is or if dave kittinger made >some progress in this area too (maybe with the help of tablebases or more >knowledge or whatever :-)). > >tactics and taking the initiative was wchess' strength. >but positional play was a weakness. > >i wonder if this has changes :-)) I have no idea what improvements Kittinger has made in his engine since his last official version (which I guess was with Power Chess 98??) All I know for sure is that it is a strong enough engine to beat me easily every time! :-) jm
