Thanks. That's very interesting! I spent some time looking at your results. If I understand correctly, the Attack 1 setting is perhaps about the best indicated for Shredder 7.04 UCI if opening play is disregarded. Personally I would tend to disregard opening play by the engines because I rely mostly on opening books and statistics there. So what matters to me most in an engine's strength of play after the opening. Thus I would suggest a test series where both 7 and 7.04 are allowed to use the same opening book. WP
