Movei is going to play 10...Bxf3 at depth 6-13(not the public version but version that has 0.2 pawn bonus for having 2 bishops and I was afraid that it is going to fail because of that bonus) 13 -27 48104 75881290 g4f3 d1f3 f6d7 f3d3 d7b6 c1e3 b6c4 d3c4 d8d7 c4b3 b7b5 f4 f5 g7e5 f5g6 h7g6 After 10...Bc8 It suggests 11.Re1 0.36/10 11.Re1 0.24/11 11.Ng5 0.31/11 11.Qd3 0.36/11 11.Qd3 0.37/12 11.Qd3 0.34/13 It does not mean that movei is better than Fritz in finding opening moves and I guess that movei may blunder in positions that Fritz and CM do not blunder. It may be interesting to have some test suite of a lot of opening positions when the choice is not obvious to find the best engines in finding opening moves. Fritz8 has real big problems and at the time of writing this post it still likes Bc8 even at the end of iteration 15 New game [D]r2q1rk1/ppn1ppbp/3p1np1/2pP4/2B1PPb1/2N2N1P/PPP3P1/R1BQ1RK1 b - - 0 1 Analysis by Fritz 8: 1...Bc8 2.a4 a6 3.e5 Nd7 4.Be3 Ne8 5.a5 dxe5 6.fxe5 Nxe5 ² (0.50) Depth: 14/43 00:05:38 126038kN 1...Bc8 2.a4 e6 3.dxe6 Bxe6 4.Bxe6 fxe6 5.e5 dxe5 6.fxe5 Qxd1 7.Rxd1 Nfd5 8.Ne4 c4 9.Nd6 ² (0.47) Depth: 15/41 00:11:23 258499kN (Blass, Tel-Aviv 19.07.2003) Uri
