I am a lucky man: In the first game vs Shredder 7.04 I could even win. My
results so far:
- vs Junior8 (1/2, 1/2, 0)
- vs ChessTiger (1/2)
- vs Shredder 7.04 (1)
Total 5 games and 2,5 points = 50 %. Where are the 2800 Elo of the giants?

Ich darf mich glücklich fühlen: die erste Partie gegen Shredder 7.04 konnte ich
gar gewinnen. Die bislang erzielten Resultate:

1. Nf3 Nf6 {64MB, Shredder7.ctg, P3 650/32, ponder=on, 3-/4-men EGTB,
tournament book with optimal} 2. c4 c5 3. b3 e6 4. Bb2 Nc6 5. e3 d5 6. d4 cxd4
7. Nxd4 Bb4+ {And here, I was out of book, or in other words, none of my
opponents has ever played this variation against me / Und nun war ich aus dem
Buch, bzw. hat diese Variante noch niemand gegen mich gespielt} 8. Bc3 Bxc3+ {
The expected move by me was 8...Qa5 / Der von mir erwartete Zug war 8...Da5} 9.
Nxc3 e5 {To me, this all looked very well for Black, but after a thinking time
of 17 minutes I found the correct plan / Fuer mich sah dies alles recht gut
aus fuer Schwarz, doch nach 17 Min Bedenkzeit fand ich den richtigen Plan} 10.

O-O O-O {Black last book move} 15. Qd3 {I was happy with the opening: Black
has a strong centre pawn but the d5-pawn is somewhat weak and can be put under
pressure by the white pieces. On the other hand White possesses the pawn
majority on the queens wing and a possible pawn ending is favourable for White
/ Mit dem Verlauf der Eroeffnung war ich recht gluecklich. Schwarz hat wohl
ein stolzes Bauernzentrum, jedoch ist der d5-Bauer anfaellig und kann durch
die weissen Figuren leicht unter Druck gesetzt werden. Andererseits hat Weiss
die Bauernmehrheit am Damenfluegel, die insbesondere im Bauernendspiel
vorteilhaft ist} 15... Rac8 16. Rac1 Rc5 {An important position where I
considered for a long time 17.Na4 but eventually decided to move my knight
back to e2 for mainly two reasons: square d4 remains under control and the
same applies to square c1 allowing me to exchange rooks on the c-file / Eine

jedoch zum Rueckzug des Springers nach e2 entschloss aus vornehmlich zwei

expected the King centralizing move 21...Kf8 / Eine Ueberraschung fuer mich,

Qxc3 {If I had the black pieced, I would not have exchanged the queens / Ich
haette mit Schwarz an dieser Stelle die Damen nicht getauscht} 23. Nxc3 d4 {
(?) But this is a very bad move leading to a passed but very weak pawn on the
d-file. I begun to dream I could win the game / Aber das ist ein wirklich
schlechter Zug, der zu einem schwachen Freibauer auf der d-Linie fuehrt. Ich
begann vom Sieg zutraeumen} (23... Kf8 24. Kf1 Ke7 25. Ke2 Kd7 26. Kd3 Kc6 {

The analysis after the game showed that Shredder 7.04 would prefer 27.Nc7 a
move I had not considered for a single moment. For me it is clear that the
knight belongs to c3 where he prevents Black's maneouvres Nd5 and Ne4 / Die
Analyse nach der Partie zeigte, dass Shredder 7.04 27.Sc7 gewaehlt haette, ein
Zug, den ich keinen Moment in Erwaegung zog. Fuer mich ist klar, dass der
Springer nach c3 gehoert, wo er die gegnerischen Manoever Sd5 und Se4verhindert
} 27... Kh7 28. f3 {Prevents Ne4 and Ng4 so that White now can start attacking
Black's weak d-pawn / Verhindert Se4 und Sg4, so dass Weiss nun den schwachen,
gegnerischen d-Bauern angreifen kann} 28... Nd7 29. Ke1 Ne5 30. Kd2 h4 {

Now I had already two pawn more; this should be enough to win this game / Nun
