Not necesarily. You MIGHT have matured and become more experienced than then,
without realizing it.

At any rate, if as you say, that doesn't say much for computers, when they allow
anti-computer opposition.

I rarely play against a program recently, but when I go against even older
programs (or genius 7 which I have set up here) they ingeniously cope with
everything. Recently it did an extremely impressive sequence in a casual game
(from my part) which 20 years ago a top GM might have become famous for!

I havn't put my mind to anti-computer playing in recent years. I try to face the
real open battle. But it's hopeless anyway. I think the same almost goes for the
top GM's.
