I for one, don't think you're trolling at all. I think you have some valid
points.

I have called out Edward to play 'decent hardware' time and time again, and he
never will. Either his english is not so good, or there is money involved. He
(and Kurt) are playing the latest programs, sure. But they are playing on 5+
year old hardware. Here's an idea; play Crafty v1.0 on today's hardware. I
won't clap when you win. Period.

I played JRLOK, a world-wide-known chess engine killer on ICC, 2 games of 30/0.
These were games that he obviously 'planned', because he asked Potzy to set the
match up (named me specifically, because I had the fastest hardware on ICC, oh,
and Bob said he had been watching me, and had some kind of 'ace'.) First game
he lost, second game was a draw. So, a 2500+ GM, with special 'anti-computer'
skills, playing a 'thought out game', and he still loses the match.

Of course, computers do lose. There was a GM on ICC running his mouth one nite
about how *no* computer could beat him. So I called him out. $100 bet. You
win, $100; you lose, shut up. 45 minutes later I was shelling out 100 chekels.
(That was the defining moment where I realized, never use Shredder in a game for
money.)

I believe Edward and Kurt CAN beat the best programs out there. But I don't
think they can do it 'at will'. I don't think any human can.
