Both CT15 and Chess Master 9000 are engines I wanted to test head of Hiarcs 8. With CM9000 the question of book is a problem. If I use book 'a' and CM9000 goes down like Hiarcs 8 is now, ppl would exclaim that I used a bad book for CM. Seen as CM9000 doesn't have a book in CB GUI theres no solution. I'm not sure how to setup 40/120 + 20/60 + 30mins games in Lokasoft (for CT15) it seems to offer only two clock levels. After testing Shredder 7.04 and Fritz 8, Hiarcs 8 is the next best engine I own which could be tested within the CB GUI. regards On July 21, 2003 at 16:04:58, Rajen Gupta wrote: >I think playing against hiarcs is a pointless exercise: i am even surprised that >it manged to win even a single gme: virtully every modern programme can thrash >it beyond rcognition by a huge margin: one needs to test junior8 against its >contemporaries including chessmaster 9000 and tiger 15 first. > >On July 21, 2003 at 07:50:21, Anson T J wrote: > >>Time Control: >> >>40/2 hours + 20/1 hour + 30mins rest: >>Hardware: Dual AMD 2400+ 1 cpu each >>128 MB Hash each. >>Permanent Brain on. >>Own books (Hiarcs is using h8.hbk) with learning. >>Complete Set of 3, 4, 5 Piece Tablebases >> >>Current Score: >> >> 1234567890123456789012345678 >>1 Junior 8 111½½½1½½11111101½0½½1½10111 20.5/28 >>2 Hiarcs 8 000½½½0½½00000010½1½½0½01000 7.5/28 >> >>PGN of the games and past tournies can be obtained from: >>http://mysite.freeserve.com/intagrand/junior8test/index.html >> >>Live game: >>http://mysite.freeserve.com/intagrand/junior8/index.htm
