FIDE does not rate computers. The organizers may submit the tournament to FIDE
to have it rated, I assume they will.
Some time ago FIDE decided not to rate ANY game from tournaments where a
computer plays, so if they have not reversed that decision and they follow their
own regulations strictly then the tournament will not be FIDE rated.
If FIDE does not want to rate computers, I think that is ok, but I find the
decision to reject a whole tournament only because a computer plays completely
illogical.
Now, what follows is pure speculation of mine, since I can not see the future. I
expect the organizers to send the tournament results to FIDE, but without the
Chess Tiger results. Of course FIDE will know that a computer played (after all
it is in the news), but they will rate the remaining games among humans anyway.
José.
