Got both drives working now and did not have to take the computer apart. I stayed with the master/slave after viewing the device list that showed the computer recognized both of 'em. Street Atlas 08 was the culprit. Uninstalled it and reinstalled and now everything works great. Go figure? Pete Melissakis
