I've been interested in the threads recently about drawing the computer with careful play. I haven't had a whole lot of time to read every post, but if I got it right I imagine you are almost 100% defensive. A lot of the engines have been tweaked for play against other engines. Have you tried some of the "anti-human" or more aggressive settings of some of the engines? It would be interesting, for example, to see how your games are against, for example, Deep Sjeng 1.5 on aggressive, Junior ZX, or Shredder on aggressive. Since these settings are more likely to favor wild positions and sacrifices, it may change the dynamic. I'm not suggesting you'd lose, but I'm curious on your thoughts. Have you found that settings under full strength of the programs provide actually more challenge for similar reasons? Brian
