But I still would feel more comfortable with the result if we knew exactly what was going on. Maybe it helps if you just watch the next game closely after the first moves out of book to ensure that everything is ok - but then, the fact that M-Chess does permanent brain while it's still in book (unlike other programs) would blur any conclusions based on response time observations if the opponent is sooner out of book than M-Chess - it might respond instantly up to move 60 although it left book after e.g. move 15 if it correctly predicts all opponent's moves ...
