I'm guessing that you are asking about memory debugging. If so, my favorites are
mpatrol (http://www.cbmamiga.demon.co.uk/mpatrol/) and ccmalloc
(http://www.inf.ethz.ch/personal/biere/projects/ccmalloc/). One caveat about
ccmalloc is that it isn't really thread safe. It might also only be a leak
checker. Mpatrol is very good, though, and works on a BIG variety of platforms.
