The big surprise would have been if a version of the King engine DIDN'T win. Of the thirteen competitors, twelve had a serious chance to win. Of these twelve, five(!) were a version of the King whereas each other engine was represented only once. If one may be so bold as to assume that all twelve are fairly equivalent in skill, then the King (whatever version) had a five-fold greater chance of winning than any other engine.
