It might be interesting to hold a tournament between, say, 5 Crafties, 5 Yaces, and 1 Ruffian, and see if Ruffian still wins. All are similar in strength, but I think Ruffian is a bit stronger, so if Dann's theory holds up, Ruffian shouldn't win. I have a spare dual machine, so just tell me what you'd like to see (which engines, how many of each, time control, etc.).
