Subject: To John Merino: Is something rotten in Denmark?

Encountered something(s) odd:
If I add a .pgn file to the default "File/load" directory (vj) cm9 does
   not "see" it.
It requires that I click to the top of the subdirectory tree (Documents
and Settings), then back down to the /vj sub.

If I delete the unwanted .pgn files in /vj it requires the above
procedure for cm9 to recognize that the files are not there,-
but when I restart cm9 it often "sees" files I
      deleted there 2 weeks ago!

If I read through several files in the database, any other Windows(xp)
programs slow down so much that I have to reboot. I have 512 mem but I
wondered if the chess files were filling memory and not being purged?

v.j. (perplexed but not yet in Denmark)

P.S. Sorry, I forgot to number the queries.
