The G5 Macs might turn out to be extremely powerful for certain tasks, while at other task the performance might be like an average Intel PC. Some of the demos were interesting and promising, with regard to pure performance. However some of the tests were questionable and misleading. The audio application comparison between Emagic's Logic(Mac) and Cubase (Windows) was a comparison between a Good Sampler Application versus Average Sampler Application and in no way was this demonstration a realistic example of what one can do on a PC when working with audio. For the record the mix that they were demoing was not a problem for a PC 5-6 years ago. I know that because I was one of the two programmers who developed Software Audio Workshop Pro (SAWpro) for Windows ... many years ago. :) Regards, Hristo
