I still don't get why Rebel wasn't allowed to ponder where the others were
allowed, what am I (as a dummy winboarder) missing?

I have already so much help that I kindly decline your generous offer, thanks
anyway. But it could be very helpful if you would have a good look at Rebel's
time control when I release the time-control-bug-fix version next week.
