I think that the results of karpov against computers were not impressive. I remember that he beated deep thought only because of mistake of deep thought in a drawn rook endgame when top programs of today have no problem to avoid that mistake when kasparov won the same machine easily. I remember also that Ed has also experience when karpov was not impressive against his old program. Uri Uri
