Subject: handicaping computer (HT)

I played Hiarcs 8 a SD/90. The computer crashed through my Stone-Wall and had a
mate-in-three due to a mistaken King move of mine. Otherwise, I would have won
on time having a hour + twelve minutes versus twenty-four minutes for H8. I was
wondering other than playing a total of 3 hours total game what was a good way
to test your opening, middle and endgame skill against computer. This is OT; I
saw Excalibur Glass Chess on ICD's store. It is a beaut not a beast. I was
thinking about getting one for my coffee table. Glass Chess is rated at 1500
USCF and is good for class players to compete against. Even though it has glass
pieces you should put it on display for all guests and family. Excalibur is on a
fast-break with Glass Chess and should be commended for it's chess imagination.

cordially yours, Ljubo Nelson
