In the last two month I have played two winboard tournaments with Frank Quisinsky. We both used a AMD-K6 II with 333MHz and 128MB SDRAM. Cache and Ram run at 83MHz speed. The first tournament was played with level 60min per game and the second tournament with 40 moves in 40 minutes. Pondering was disabled in both tournaments. All programs are starting with a performance of 2350 ELO. If possible the programs are configured to play with 3/4-tablebases. ********************************************************************* Tournament 1 60min/game ********************************************************************* Participants : 01) Comet32 A.95 32 MB HT 02) Patzer 2.99ZP 32 MB HT 03) Crafty 15.18 24 MB + 10 MB HT 04) Crafty 14.13 24 MB + 10 MB HT 05) TCBishop 0037 32 MB + 4 MB HT 06) Phalanx 17 32 MB HT 07) Little Goliath 1.05 26 MB HT 08) ExChess 2.45 32 MB HT 09) ZChess 0.92 32 MB + 4 MB HT 1) Round Kai Frank Comet32 A.95 - Patzer 2.99ZP 1,5:2,5 1,0:3,0 Crafty 15.18 - Crafty 14.13 1,5:2,5 3.0:1.0 TCBishop 0037 - Phalanx 17 0,5:3,5 1,5:2,5 Little Goliath 1.05 - ExChess 2.45 3,0:1,0 4.0:0,0 ZChess 0.92 - ExChess 2.45 3,0:1,0 3,0:1,0 2) Round Kai Frank Comet32 A.95 - Crafty 15.18 2,5:1,5 2,5:1,5 Patzer 2.99ZP - Crafty 14.13 2,0:2,0 1,0:3,0 TCBishop 0037 - Little Goliath 1.05 4,0:0,0 2,0:2,0 Phalanx 17 - ExChess 2.45 4,0:0,0 2,5:1,5 ZChess 0.92 - Little Goliath 1.05 2,0:2,0 2,0:2,0 3) Round Kai Frank Comet32 A.95 - Crafty 14.13 1,0:3,0 3,0:1,0 Patzer 2.99 ZP - Crafty 15.18 0,5:3,5 0,0:4,0 TCBishop 0037 - ExChess 2.45 4,0:0,0 3,0:1,0 Little Goliath 1.05 - Phalanx 17 1,0:3,0 1,0:3,0 ZChess 0.92 - Phalanx 17 2,0:2,0 4,0:0,0 4) Round Kai Frank Comet32 A.95 - Little Goliath 1.05 1,5:2,5 2,0:2,0 Patzer 2.99ZP - Phalanx 17 2,0:2,0 1,0:3,0 TCBishop 0037 - Crafty 15.18 0,5:3,5 1,0:3,0 ExChess 2.45 - Crafty 14.13 1,0:3,0 0,0:4,0 ZChess 0.92 - TCBishop 0037 2,5:1,5 1,0:3,0 5) Round Kai Frank Comet32 A.95 - Phalanx 17 1,0:3,0 2,0:2,0 Patzer 2.99ZP - Little Goliath 1.05 1,0:3,0 2,5:1,5 TCBishop 0037 - Crafty 14.13 3,0:1,0 2,5:1,5 ExChess 2.45 - Crafty 15.18 1,0:3,0 0,5:3,5 ZChess 0.92 - Patzer 2.99ZP 0,5:3,5 1,0:3,0 6) Round Kai Frank Comet32 A.95 - ExChess 2.45 3,0:1,0 3,5:0,5 Patzer 2.99ZP - TCBishop 0037 2,5:1,5 2,0:2,0 Phalanx 17 - Crafty 15.18 1,5:2,5 1,0:3,0 Little Goliath 1.05 - Crafty 14.13 0,5:3,5 0,5:3,5 ZChess 0.92 - Comet32 A.95 1,0:3,0 1,0:3,0 7) Round Kai Frank Comet32 A.95 - TCBishop 0037 1,5:2,5 4,0:0,0 Patzer 2.99ZP - ExChess 2.45 3,5:0,5 4,0:0,0 Phalanx 17 - Crafty 14.13 3,0:1,0 2,0:2,0 Little Goliath 1.05 - Crafty 15.18 2,5:1,5 1,0:3,0 ZChess 0.92 - Crafty 14.13 0,5:3,5 2,0:2,0 ZChess 0.92 - Crafty 15.18 1,5:2,5 1,0:3,0 **** Final result **** 01) Crafty 15.18 43,5 P. = 67,96% = 2483 ELO 02) Phalanx 17 38,0 P. = 59,38% = 2415 ELO 03) Crafty 14.13 37,5 P. = 58,59% = 2407 ELO 04) Comet32 A.95 36,0 P. = 56,25% = 2393 ELO 05) Patzer 2.99ZP 34,0 P. = 53,13% = 2371 ELO 06) TCBishop 0037 32,5 P. = 50,78% = 2357 ELO 07) Little Goliath 1.05 28,5 P. = 44,53% = 2314 ELO 08) ZChess 0.92 28,0 P. = 43,75% = 2307 ELO 09) ExChess 2.45 10,0 P. = 15,63% = 2076 ELO Comments : - Because of a configuration error TheCrazyBishop has played the tournament without hashtables :-( Sorry Remi ! - Because of a bug ZChess 0.92 occupied half of the processor time while the opponent is thinking. So the elo performance of ZChess is about 40 ELO points smaller. Franck Zibi has fixed this with version 0.98 ********************************************************************* Tournament 2 40min/40moves ********************************************************************* Participants : 01) Comet32 A.95 2425 ELO 32 MB HT 02) Patzer 2.99 ZP 2375 ELO 36 MB HT 03) Crafty 15.19 2475 ELO 24/10 MB HT 04) GromitX 2.0 2325 ELO 24/0,5/8 MB HT 05) TCBishop 0037 2375 ELO 24/12 MB HT 06) Phalanx 18 2425 ELO 32 MB HT 07) LGoliath 1.13 2350 ELO 32 MB HT 08) ZChess 0.98 2250 ELO 32/4 MB HT 1) Round Kai Frank Comet32 A.95 - Patzer 2.99 ZP 2,0:4,0 3,5:2,5 5,5:6,5 Crafty 15.19 - GromitX 2.0 4,0:2,0 3,0:3,0 7,0:5,0 TCBishop 0037 - Phalanx 18 3,0:3,0 3,5:2,5 6,5:5,5 LGoliath 1.13 - ZChess 0.98 3,5:2,5 4,0:2,0 7,5:4,5 2) Round Kai Frank Comet32 A.95 - Crafty 15.19 4,0:2,0 3,5;2,5 7,5:4,5 Patzer 2.99 ZP - GromitX 2.0 3,5:2,5 5,0:1,0 8.5:3,5 TCBishop 0037 - LGoliath 1.13 4,5:1,5 3,5:2,5 8,0:4,0 Phalanx 18 - ZChess 0.98 4,5:1,5 5,5:0,5 10,0:2.0 3) Round Kai Frank Comet32 A.95 - GromitX 2.0 4,5:1,5 3,5:2,5 8,0:4,0 Patzer 2.99 ZP - Crafty 15.19 2,0:4,0 3,0:3,0 5,0:7,0 TCBishop 0037 - ZChess 0.98 4,0:2,0 3,0:3,0 7,0:5,0 LGoliath 1.13 - Phalanx 18 4,0:2,0 4,0:2,0 8,0:4,0 4) Round Kai Frank Comet32 A.95 - LGoliath 1.13 3,5:2,5 4,5:1,5 8,0:4,0 Patzer 2.99 ZP - Phalanx 18 3,5:2,5 2,0:4,0 5,5:6,5 TCBishop 0037 - Crafty 15.19 1,5:4,5 1,0:5,0 2,5:9,5 ZChess 0.98 - GromitX 2.0 4,5:1,5 1,5:4,5 6,0:6,0 5) Round Kai Frank Comet32 A.95 - Phalanx 18 3,0:3,0 1,5:4,5 4,5:7,5 Patzer 2.99 ZP - LGoliath 1.13 2,5:3,5 3,5:2,5 6,0:6,0 TCBishop 0037 - GromitX 2.0 2,0:4,0 3,0:3,0 5,0:7,0 ZChess 0.98 - Crafty 15.19 0,5:5,5 1,5:4,5 2,0:10,0 6) Round Kai Frank Comet32 A.95 - ZChess 0.98 4,5:1,5 5,0:1,0 9,5:2,5 Patzer 2.99 ZP - TCBishop 0037 2,5:3,5 3,5:2,5 6,0:6,0 Phalanx 18 - Crafty 15.19 2,5:3,5 3,5:2,5 6,0:6,0 LGoliath 1.13 - GromitX 2.0 5,0:1,0 5,5:0,5 10,5:1,5 7) Round Kai Frank Comet32 A.95 - TCBishop 0037 6,0:0,0 3,5:2,5 9,5:2,5 Patzer 2.99 ZP - ZChess 0.98 4,5:1,5 4,0:2,0 8,5:3,5 Phalanx 18 - GromitX 2.0 5,5:0,5 4,0:2,0 9,5:2,5 LGoliath 1.13 - Crafty 15.19 1,5:4,5 0,5:5,5 2,0:10,0 **** Final result **** 01) Crafty 15.19 54,0 / 84 2477 ELO 64,29% 02) Comet32 A.95 52,5 / 84 2462 ELO 62,50% 03) Phalanx 18 49,0 / 84 2432 ELO 58,33% 04) Patzer 2.99 ZP 46,0 / 84 2404 ELO 54,76% 05) LGoliath 1.13 42,0 / 84 2375 ELO 50,00% 06) TCBishop 0037 37,5 / 84 2332 ELO 44,64% 07) GromitX 2.0 29,5 / 84 2265 ELO 35,12% 08) ZChess 0.98 25,5 / 84 2226 ELO 30,36% If anybody is interesting in the games I can mail them in pgn format.
