Why are you comparing chess computers with human chess players? Chess programs play chess in a very different way. Using opening databases and endgame databases is not some kind of unfair advantage, but part of their progress to play "better chess". It like not permitting a human player to study chess with a good chess teacher: as a computer program is unable to do that, humans shouldn't get that unfair advantage too when playing a program. Choosing a programming solution is not like extending unfair advantages to a chess program a human can't use, it's simply using all possible means to increase playing strenght. >On my PC is the path to TBS, D:\Nalimov. > >But Junior 8 however is on C: \ installed. Maybe I don't understand correctly what you try to indicate with that, but that's no problem. tools > options > tablebases > path 1 : D:\nalimov and your copy will use the TB's J.
