Go up one level in this thread

hi frank,
all of the chessbase and convekta(chess assistant) products do run under windows
XP. Choose what you want! Of course the best choice isn't always the most
popular because we don't know your playing level-- and there are many solutions
available to you. on the convekta side is max blokh's problem set called CT-Art,
and also Razuvaev's Advanced Chess School which is a bit easier and trains
elementary endings too. On the chess base side there are four products too.
Book-up also sells an inexpensive tactics module called 'barking dog'. Chess
mentor also has good tactics module for beginners.
the cheapest stuff out there is free: there are tactics positions published in
cb format by a man named Ossmitz. The hardest stuff out there is the tactical
sections of chess informants 32 through 75 which were published by chessbase on
their Informat disks.
good luck choosing-marc
