When I saw the Man vs. Machine section on Kurt's website I remembered a 4 game match between GM Andras Adorjan and Fritz 5.32 in 2000. It was an open-air event during a Book Festival in Budapest. Playing conditions: stifling heat, big noise from the crowd, GM Adorjan seated in front of a "rainbow" chess set, IM Gyula Feher operating the computer (a 400 MHz machine, I'm not quite sure... Andras asked the lovely WFM Monika Grabics for the operator's role, but she refused it to our great disappointment...) Time control: 1 hour/game, 1 game/day. GM Adorjan played all the games with black in the spirit of his Black is OK! philosophy. Let me add that Andras doesn't like computers (to put it mildly). I recall his bonmot about Peter Leko: "He showed me how to turn on the computer and I showed him how to turn it off."
