This is not the proper place for this discussion. However, since you went
public with this request I will go public with our response.

The moderators received your email requesting the banning of Vince. We took it
under consideration and there was no interest in approving your request.

The points below may not reflect all the moderators - but they do reflect mine.

=======================================================================

Vince does not use foul language.

He generally attacks ideas and not people.

I agree with you that Vince is at times on the edge, but he somehow manages to
stay on the right side of the line. If we were to ban Vince, we would have to
consider banning a number of contributors as well - including myself.

Not everyone here will always be as polite and considerate as Dan Andersson ,
Tony Hedlund or Alastair Scott, just to name a few our polite and considerate
members.

If Vince was perhaps a little bit more obnoxious, posted constantly in CAPS and
made his attacks a little more personal - my view of the situation could change.

========================================================================

A suggestion for Vince , I would just "tone" it down a bit.
