I do not say that it was developed to play deeper blue moves but only that moves of programs that came after deeper blue are clearly irrelvant to kasparov thoughts. Kasparov knew that no program that he had at that time can play the moves. Of course every good move can be played by programs of the future(I said that even changing numbers in crafty may be enough so it is clear that modifying the source code to teach the program to play better that is more than changing numbers is more than enough for that purpose.
