Subject: junior7 how many versions ? and time-control

  I have a junior7 bought in march 2003
its behaviour is quite strange :
it win , say to 80%, against any engine I can oppose to it
most of time it does so with a mating attack some are worth a brillancy
prize
I just used it in analysis and it played ,move for move since move 17,
all the white moves of the famous game Steinitz / Bardeleben hastings 1895
all this is not consistent with what I have read about junior7 and the
results of owners of older samples of this engine so my question:
are there several versions of junior7 ?
 now it has 2 drawbacks:
for any cadence of play it is unable to reach the time-control:
it spends twice the reflexion time allowed so it loses on time unless it has
mated before (the most frequent case with time control to 60 moves)
this leads to my second question:
Does it depend on the speed of the processor ?
I have 850 Mhz and I suppose that this new version was devolopped on a
computer of 2Ghz or more
can anybody answer these questions? (I think to the developpers of junior
if you read me, please answer me! I shall be deeply grateful!)
    Friendly Yours
                   Claude Le Page
