The number of games we'd need between computers and FIDE opponents would probably require many years of frequent events featuring computers and humans intermixed, and I don't see anything to indicate that there will even be rare, meaningful games between humans and computers. So it's kind of a matter of practically possible vs. theoreticall possible. I don't see it as a practical possibility. As computers get stronger and stronger, there is less and less reason to hold more events where humans compete with computers.
