Hi to all,
I find the result of Shredder 7 in this tournament not surprising. But i'm
always thinking about the fact that SMK haven't used his Shredder 7.04 or a
newer secret up-grade in this tournament. May be because Shredder 7.04 doesn't
fit against humans as against computers.
I've got for u some news. In my homepage at: www.chesslovers.tk i've previously
released new settings for Shredder 7.04 in blitz games (3 minutes per player)
because i've experienced a strange clear win for sh7 against sh 7.04 with 68.5
vs 31.5. I've developed settings for sh 7.04 that reached better results not
only against sh7 but also against the other engines in blitz games. But actually
i'm quite sure that i have a new setting for sh7.04 in rapid games (25 mn per
player per game without extra-time). this category of time give as games of
great quality and is very close to the classic time control games. Shredder 7.04
Attack1.2 setting that was released in my homepage (english page) is the best
setting. It gets more than 50 points Elo rating comparatively with Shredder 7.04
in a single CPU PIII machine 733 MHz Hash 16.
I've tested this new setting from 5 different sharp positions issued from a
Nunn1 Testset That i've modified to avoid the role of openings. I used
tablebases for all the engines. The Position Learning was enabled.
So stay connected till the next up_date.

I always want what does Mr Stefen Meyer Kahlen think about this. I'm also
searching for chess funs (especially shredder chess funs that would test my
Shredder Attack 1.2 setting in classic time controls). Mr Harald Faber, Kurt
Utkinger, Sedat Conbaz, Mike Byrne and all the other computer chess funs, could
u please help me to do this?
My biggest problem is that my electric installation at home is very old (over 25
years) and i have problems to run my computer over than 3 or 4 hours
consecutively because of surprising cut-off of electric light. My computer
suffered a lot from this that's why my tournaments couldn't be made with more
than 25mn for the moment (till i pay for new electric installation).
Wait for the next up_date to see the games and see the incredible performance of
Shredder 7.04 settings.
