The procedure is not "full-proof" however. When I started a game as soon as Rebel was out of book it started to give me a "hint-move" after Rebel made it's move. You have to have that option turned off before you start this. Ed, this option shouldn't be allowed in this elo option as all a player has to do is play the hint move and would probably score a large number of draws (and perhaps the odd win). This little "bug" needs fixing otherwise a lot of people could post these "wins". On my old PII-300mmx/160mb, Rebel tells me it has a 2593 elo rating! As an aside, you suggest that it's about 2700. Interesting that today's typical machine is perhaps 9 times faster (that's more then 3 doublings of processor speed over my antique), yet only about 100 elo stronger. I suspect that the program's estimate is optimistic and 2500 may be more appropriate. In your docs, you do say it's rough though ... Thanks for the program :-) Cheers, Jim
