News release: http://www.ibm.com/News/1998/10/28.phtml It's almost certainly a machine with hundreds or thousands of CPU's. It would be hard to adapt chess programs which were not specifically written for such an architecture. I think there is a CILK chess program somewhere, if I remember right. It would probably do well on such a machine. And having 2.6 terabytes available for hash couldn't hurt.
