Even without a crappy translator, I get "Dazu verwenden wir Intel C++ 7.0 und MS Visual Studio für alle Integer-Tests" to mean Intel and MS 32-bit compilers. :-) A bit further down my ancient school-german decodes the text as saying that using P4 optimization didn't help much for Opterons. Might have helped some for the P4 though:-) They also suspect the P4's DDR400 memory gave some additional advantage, and could explain why it betas the Xeons. >Doubtful (I didn't see >anything to indicate it, even with a choppy web translator). Crafty is, of course, one of the programs that is already designed to take advantage of 64 bit systems. Hope MS decides to release the Opteron version of their 64 bit compiler soon!
