Subject: Fritz 8 or Fritz 7? The latter seems to be stronger...

When observing games on ICC/FICS I notice that the Deep Fritz/Fritz 7 engines do
far better against the Tiger's and Shredder's.

Does anyone know why this might be the case? In the SSDF list the difference in
the versions is almost nothing.

Has Frans hit a wall in playing strength?
