Subject: new weaker level in Crafty 19.04 Se

"fish"

Fish plays a 1 ply search - which in some case is still too strong for
beginners. So intheis case, the piece values are in correct order - that is
queen is still rate the highest - but all the value within 1 point of each other

This is an example of how poorly Fish plays - it should only challenge beginner
players - which is what is designed for. In the case above, I hung a piece on
purpose and was still able to quickly mate it in < 20 moves. I know it plays
poorly, but I don't have any younger childred in the house to try it on. If
you do, and would like to your try child to give thsi agame, email me with the
words include for the next "Crafty 19.04 SE" chessbase base package. I am
interested in feedback from younger and inexperienced players. This has the
standard chess knowledge about development moves - just no search and lousy
piece values.

Below is another exanple - in this case I played wacky opening moves on purpose
to see how "fish" would play the opening. Because of it's knowledge even
without any search depth and offbeat piecevalues - it play sound opening moves.
It will also play agressive, but for the most it plays many unsound moves.
Again by design to give the beginner "a chance"
