I personally agree.  An IM played this position against multiple commercial
programs and won easily with black each time.  I suspect the Kasparov group
had found the same thing.  Perhaps he had second thoughts when he played h6
and got an instant response, but it seems unlikely a great opening preparation
player like Kasparov just bungled the move order, although it is certainly
possible...
