Joel Benjamin is not a psychic, he is only a strong grandmaster who used to be
much stronger some fifteen years ago, who has plenty of experience playing
against world class players (against weaker players too of course), who had
enough time to study Kasparov's games and opening repertoire (not counting the
financial incentives and the intellectual reward), and who did his job quite
well.
You can be sure he added plenty of more lines which did not occur in the match,
they were part of his job too. Probably he missed some lines, but he is not to
be blamed since very few players can keep up with Kasparov on opening theory.
José.
