With 800mb for hash tables my computer was going to the hard drive and Fritz 8 was very slow. I did not notice since I just started playing computer chess programs like Fritz 8. The speed difference of 256mb hash tables makes a world of difference - no access to hard drive needed !!!!! Well here is the analysis at about 3 minutes per move (nice) 1.d4 d5 2.c4 c6 3.e3 Nf6 4.Nc3 e6 5.a3 Nbd7 6.Qc2 dxc4 [ Fritz 8: 1) 6...Bd6 7.Nf3 0-0 8.cxd5 exd5 9.Bd3 Qe7 10.Ng5 h6 11.Nf3 -0.16/14 ; Fritz 8: 2) 6...a6 0.06/14 ; Fritz 8: 3) 6...Qc7 7.Nf3 Bd6 8.b3 0-0 9.Bd3 b6 10.cxd5 0.09/14 ] 7.Bxc4 Be7 [ Fritz 8: 1) 7...e5 8.Nf3 Bd6 9.0-0 0-0 10.b4 exd4 11.exd4 0.03/13 ; Fritz 8: 2) 7...Qc7 8.f4 c5 9.Nf3 cxd4 10.Nb5 Qb6 0.16/13 ; Fritz 8: 3) 7...Bd6 8.f4 c5 9.Nb5 Be7 10.dxc5 Bxc5 11.b4 0.19/13 ] 8.Nf3 Nb6 [ Fritz 8: 1) 8...Bd6 9.0-0 0-0 10.e4 e5 11.Be3 Ng4 0.22/13 ; Fritz 8: 2) 8...a6 9.e4 c5 10.dxc5 Bxc5 11.Bf4 Nh5 12.Bd2 Qc7 0.50/13 ; Fritz 8: 3) 8...c5 9.dxc5 Bxc5 10.0-0 b6 11.Rd1 Bb7 12.b4 0.50/13 ] 9.Bd3 0-0 [ Fritz 8: 1) 9...Nbd5 10.e4 Nxc3 11.bxc3 c5 12.0-0 Qc7 13.e5 Nd5 0.69/14 ; Fritz 8: 2) 9...0-0 10.e4 h6 11.0-0 a5 12.Re1 a4 13.Bf4 0.81/14 ; Fritz 8: 3) 9...h6 10.e4 0-0 11.0-0 a5 12.Re1 a4 13.Bf4 0.81/14 ] 10.g4 h6 [ Fritz 8: 1) 10...Kh8 11.g5 Nfd7 12.Bxh7 Bxg5 13.Bd3 Be7 14.Qe2 0.47/14 ; Fritz 8: 2) 10...h6 11.Rg1 Nfd7 12.h4 Bxh4 13.g5 hxg5 14.Ne4 0.50/14 ; Fritz 8: 3) 10...Nxg4 11.Bxh7+ Kh8 12.Bd3 Nd7 13.Rg1 Ngf6 14.e4 0.62/14 ] 11.g5 hxg5 [ Fritz 8: 1) 11...hxg5 12.Nxg5 Nbd7 13.h4 c5 14.h5 cxd4 0.37/0 ; Fritz 8: 2) 11...Nfd7 12.gxh6 Bf6 13.e4 e5 14.hxg7 Bxg7 15.dxe5 1.87/13 ; Fritz 8: 3) 11...Ne8 12.gxh6 g6 13.h4 Kh8 14.Ne5 Nd7 15.h5 1.94/13 ] 12.Nxg5 Nbd7 [ Fritz 8: 1) 12...Qc7 13.f4 c5 14.Rg1 cxd4 15.Qg2 Nh5 16.Nb5 0.31/13 ; Fritz 8: 2) 12...Nbd7 13.h4 c5 14.h5 cxd4 0.37/13 ; Fritz 8: 3) 12...Nbd5 13.e4 Nxc3 14.bxc3 Nd7 15.Nf3 c5 16.e5 cxd4 0.50/13 ] 13.h4 e5 [ Fritz 8: 1) 13...e5 14.h5 exd4 15.exd4 Nb6 16.Be3 Bg4 17.h6 gxh6 0.56/13 ; Fritz 8: 2) 13...Qa5 14.b4 Qb6 15.h5 a5 16.h6 gxh6 17.f3 0.94/13 ; Fritz 8: 3) 13...c5 14.h5 Qa5 15.Bh7+ Kh8 16.Bg6 cxd4 17.exd4 Kg8 0.97/13 ] 14.Bd2 exd4 [ Fritz 8: 1) 14...exd4 15.exd4 Nb6 16.h5 Re8 17.Bh7+ Kf8 18.h6 Nc4 0.25/12 ; Fritz 8: 2) 14...Qb6 15.h5 exd4 16.exd4 Ng4 17.f3 Re8 18.Nge4 0.31/12 ; Fritz 8: 3) 14...c5 15.dxc5 Nxc5 16.Bc4 b5 17.Bxb5 e4 18.Rg1 0.44/12 ] 15.exd4 Re8 [ Fritz 8: 1) 15...c5 16.dxc5 Nxc5 17.Bc4 Be6 18.Nxe6 0.28/12 ; Fritz 8: 2) 15...Nb6 16.h5 Re8 17.0-0-0 Qxd4 18.Bh7+ 0.34/12 ; Fritz 8: 3) 15...Qb6 16.Be3 Qa5 17.0-0-0 Nb6 18.h5 Bg4 0.37/12 ] 16.0-0-0 Nb6 [ Fritz 8: 1) 16...Nf8 17.h5 Qxd4 18.Be3 Qe5 19.h6 gxh6 0.94/6 ; Fritz 8: 2) 16...Bd6 17.Bc4 Re7 18.Rde1 Nb6 19.Rxe7 Bxe7 20.Bxf7+ 1.75/12 ; Fritz 8: 3) 16...Rf8 1.87/12 ] 17.Bh7+ Kf8 [ Fritz 8: 1) 17...Kf8 18.Nxf7 Qc7 19.Ne5 2.19/0 ; Fritz 8: 2) 17...Nxh7 18.Qxh7+ Kf8 19.Qh8# #2/0 ; Fritz 8: 3) 17...Kh8 18.Nxf7# #1/0 ] 18.Nxf7 Qxd4 [ Fritz 8: 1) 18...Qc7 19.Ne5 Nfd5 20.Nxd5 Nxd5 21.h5 Bf6 2.69/12 ; Fritz 8: 2) 18...Kxf7 19.Qg6+ Kf8 20.Bh6 Nh5 21.Qxh5 Bf6 22.Bg5 Re6 2.91/12 ; Fritz 8: 3) 18...Qxd4 19.Bh6 Bc5 20.Rxd4 Bxd4 21.Nd6 gxh6 22.Qd2 3.84/11 ] 19.Bh6 Qg4 [ Fritz 8: 1) 19...Qg4 20.Rhg1 gxh6 21.Rxg4 Bxg4 22.Qg6 Bh5 23.Qxh6+ Kxf7 24.Ne4 Rg8 25.Nxf6 Bxd1 4.41/12 ; Fritz 8: 2) 19...Bc5 20.Rxd4 Bxd4 21.Nd6 gxh6 22.Qd2 4.50/12 ; Fritz 8: 3) 19...Qxd1+ 20.Rxd1 gxh6 21.Ne5 Nc4 22.Nxc4 4.62/12 ] 20.Rhg1 gxh6 [ Fritz 8: 1) 20...gxh6 21.Rxg4 Bxg4 22.Qg6 Bh5 23.Qxh6+ Kxf7 24.Ne4 Rg8 25.Nxf6 Bxd1 4.41/0 ; Fritz 8: 2) 20...Nxh7 21.Rxg4 Bxg4 22.Qxh7 Bf6 23.Rg1 Kxf7 5.62/12 ; Fritz 8: 3) 20...Kxf7 21.Rxg4 Bxg4 5.91/12 ] 21.Rxg4 Bxg4 [ Fritz 8: 1) 21...Bxg4 22.Qg6 Bh5 23.Qxh6+ Kxf7 24.Ne4 Rg8 25.Nxf6 Bxd1 26.Bxg8+ Rxg8 27.Nxg8 5.16/7 ; Fritz 8: 2) 21...Nxg4 22.Qg6 Bf6 23.Nxh6 6.94/10 ; Fritz 8: 3) 21...Rd8 22.Rg8+ Nxg8 23.Nxd8 10.81/11 ] 22.Qg6 Nxh7 [ Fritz 8: 1) 22...Bh5 23.Qxh6+ Kxf7 24.Ne4 Rg8 25.Nxf6 Bxd1 26.Bxg8+ Rxg8 27.Nxg8 Kxg8 5.16/15 ; Fritz 8: 2) 22...Bf5 23.Qxh6+ Kxf7 24.Bxf5 Rg8 25.Re1 Raf8 26.Qe3 Bd6 27.Be6+ 7.53/15 ; Fritz 8: 3) 22...Red8 23.Rxd8+ Bxd8 24.Nxd8 Ke7 25.Qf7+ Kxd8 26.Qxf6+ Ke8 27.Ne4 Nc8 10.59/15 ] 23.Nxh6 Be6 [ Fritz 8: 1) 23...Be6 24.Qxh7 Bf6 25.Rd6 Bg7 26.Qg6 Bb3 8.00/8 ; Fritz 8: 2) 23...Bg5+ 24.hxg5 Be6 25.Qxh7 #9/12 ; Fritz 8: 3) 23...Bxd1 24.Qf7# #1/0 ] 24.Qxh7 Bf6 [ Fritz 8: 1) 24...Bf6 25.Rd6 Bg7 26.Qg6 Bb3 8.00/0 ; Fritz 8: 2) 24...Bg5+ 25.hxg5 Nd5 26.Re1 Ne3 #9/12 ; Fritz 8: 3) 24...Bd6 #5/12 ] 25.Rd6 Re7 [ Fritz 8: 1) 25...Bg7 26.Qg6 Bb3 8.00/7 ; Fritz 8: 2) 25...Re7 26.Qg6 Bg7 14.09/9 ; Fritz 8: 3) 25...Bd4 26.Rxe6 #12/11 ] 26.Qg6 Bg7 [ Fritz 8: 1) 26...Bg7 27.Rxe6 Nd7 14.09/12 ; Fritz 8: 2) 26...Nd7 27.Rxe6 Bg7 31.97/12 ; Fritz 8: 3) 26...Rg7 27.Qxf6+ Rf7 28.Qxe6 #13/12 ] 27.Rxe6 Fritz 8: 1) 27...Bxh6+ [ Fritz 8: 2) 27...Nd7 28.Ne4 Ne5 29.Rf6+ #13/13 ; Fritz 8: 3) 27...Nd5 28.Nxd5 Bxb2+ 29.Kxb2 Rg7 30.Qf6+ Rf7 31.Qxf7# #4/13 ] 28.Qxh6+ Ke8 29.Ne4 Nd5 30.Qh8+ Kd7 31.Rd6+ Kc7 32.Qxa8 Kb6 16.31/14 1-0 Thanks to all who sent emails or commented about my posts.
