Maybe the title is more accurate now, but still there are no informations for what purpose he wants to optimize his books. You can optimize a book in order to beat humans at various time controls and you can optimize a book in order to beat other programs (In the latter case time controls are not that important). Furthermore an optimized book for a specific top program can be crap for any other top program. Downloading a huge number of games played by the specific engine might be a good start. The rest is a lot manual work. Michael
