When will some one make a chess software package that is pleasing to the eye like CM6000 with a strong game engine like Fritz or Rebel Strength. Chess pakages have been around for years, and a far as I have seen only Mindscape with their Chessmaster software packages have come anywhere near close to creating a nice looking and strong Program. What is the matter with you software makers, its about time you went out there created a program that looks so good and plays so well that you will be able to dominate the mass market as well as the serious chess playing markets as well. Everytime a new version of Chessmaster comes out I sit and wonder whether this time they will listen to previous critical comment and do something about what the program lacks, and time after time they go a little way but not far enough. I know it is unfair of me to pick on only Mindscape, but they have come the closest to what I am talking about for the past couple of years and everytime they have let me down in one area or another. I give them full marks for the efforts they have used in making their software so far, but it is time to start listening to what people want. Just imagine a strong game engine and a great working database package all in one, throw in a few tutorials for begginers, give it the Chessmaster personalies options as in CM6000, they are already as varied and interesting as you would want so only a few minor changes to that, make a few facilities for online gameplay and resources, throw all this into one package along with all the other small features which make programs great, (too many to list here) and you game a program for the serious player right down to the begginer. Now I would love to see a program like that, and would buy it right away. So do not sit there and say to me now that in todays technology and age, no one can make a program which has what begginers and serious players want all in one. I sit here and read reviews about software, can someone tell me why most people do not listen and make those changes.
