Your methodology is fundamentally flawed. For example, how do you know you
released the CDs at the same time if you couldn't see them? How do you know your
hands obeyed your command of simultaneity without any visual verification?

In blitz games it isn't uncommon for players to scream "Argh! How could I play
such a stupid move?" and the reason is simply that their hands refused a direct
order from above. Mind you, I have never heard of a hand disobeying a direct
order from below, which probably says something about man.
