I found that CM6000 is quite strong, and a bit faster in beating my butt than CM5000. They both will destroy me though. The teaching features are very interesting, especially the Josh Waitkin annotated games. If they offered additional lectures as such I would certainly consider purchasing them. They are excellent. Their tutorials are not bad (KK sez there is lots of errors though). As far as how CM looks, that is a matter of opinion. Personally, I enjoy the clean board of Fritz, better than any or the boards and sets CM offers. I enjoy the personalities settings in CM, although I think that they are too inflated (my rating on CM is about 1700, about 400-450 points more than Fritz would rate me). If Fritz incorporated that feature to that degree, I would probably abandon CM. Chessmaster is an excellent value for the money though.
