It's relevant for the people that are running applications that won't
get a native compile. Not you and me. But interesting for other people.

They will. But SPEC is C reference code vs C reference code. Fair enough for
me.

That said, I think Bob will like a native 64 bit CPU better as far as
optimizing goes. Especially if  it's 2.65 times as fast as those slowpoke
Pentium 4's he has now :)
