Hi everyone,

I am reading up on the PVS and had a question regarding different code found at
different places... At this webiste:
http://www.xs4all.nl/~verhelst/chess/search.html#principal the value of "alpha"
is never changed inside the loop; the best score found so far is in a seperate
variable.  But, in Bruce Moreland's webiste:
http://www.seanet.com/~brucemo/topics/pvs.htm, alpha is being updated instead.

This *has* to have an impact as both functions mentioned above use alpha for the
window.  Which is the correct way?
