You might like to take a look at: http://remi.coulom.free.fr/WhoIsBest.zip which contains some explainations of similar maths, and a short program to evaluate probabilities. In case the difference in strength is big, a short match may be enough. If the difference is small, 600-700 games may be necessary. Rémi
