Hi, Yes, after I posted the first message I dug a little deeper and found that out. I was confused that your makefile still attempts to compile bits.s even if the -DUSE_ASM flag is absent and bits.o is not needed. Anyway, it appears to be hanging in Bearing::init for all programs-- I don't know if your first_one implementation is causing this or what.
