Ed: I don't know where you got the idea that lowering the price directly after filling pre-release orders from old customers is an acceptable practice. Other REPUTABLE companies always offer a rebate of some sort when prices change within 30 days of purchase. I don't argue that you had to lower the price. What amazes me is that you had no consideration for your dealers (who take the brunt of the punishment for this kind of stunt) or for the customers who supported you enough to order your product before release. Who wants another old chess engine. I will not go hungry by this, however it is a clear lesson that you are not to be trusted. I would have thought you would have offered a refund or at least a gift certificate for something of equivilent value. To do otherwise shows no thoughtfullness at all. I imagine your dealers will be forced to do something for customer relations purposes. Shame on you for making them the recipients of the bad results of your poor planning. Don Gerue
