Thanks Frank,

I tried exporting a training CD's database (intensive course tactices) and it
worked great.  A bit on the big side, but I broke it down into smaller chunks.
Thanks for your help!

I thought about trying to generate training questions for databases ... for
example, take Big 2002, somehow search for Mate in X positions, and generate
training questions from those... may not be possible, but it's kind of moot with
Intensive Course Tactics for use.
